While demand has been booming for surgical and non-surgical work done in the name of improving one’s appearance, plastic surgery is hardly new. In fact, it goes back many centuries. And, according to Melbourne-based plastic surgeon Dr Bryan Mendelson, our reasons for getting it done often go beyond mere vanity.
